Overview

IGT® Adapter & UDI Primers is a series of adapter & unique dual-indexed primer kits used for NGS library construction of dsDNA, ssDNA and methylation DNA. iGeneTech provides 384 combinations of different UDI primers for high-throughput sequencing in a single lane, which reduces the false-positive rate caused by the index contaminations due to index hopping.

For MultipSeq® library construction and low-frequency mutation tests, iGeneTech offers specialized version of reagent kits and UMI Adapter & UDI Primers technology, respectively.

Technical Principle

Adapter & UDI Primers Technical Principle

UDI technology is used to construct dual indexed libraries with unique indexes on both end of the libraries, which largely mitigates the wrong reads by filtering out the mismatch reads due to index contamination.

Performance

Reducing Index Hopping and Improving Data Accuracy

Index hopping is a phenomenon of index misassignment when multiplex samples are sequenced. UDI is highly recommended as its ability of filtering hopped reads. Test data showed that iGeneTech's UDI primers correctly reduced the index hopping rate to less than 0.1%.
